Open Cities Health Center, a non-profit community health center, purchased an additional St. Paul space to expand their operation in the Twin Cities. With the help of Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates (KOMA) and Reiling Construction, the facility has completed phase one of a two phase renovation process.

Renovations Continue in District 833
Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc. (KOMA) was the architect, structural engineer, and interior designer on the recently completed addition and renovations to three South Washington County School District 833 elementary schools: Grey Cloud Elementary in Cottage Grove and Middleton and Bailey Elementary schools in Woodbury. Rooted in Agriculture
June 2015, Inver Grove Heights, Minn. – The structural engineers at Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc. In that time agriculture has seen a lot of innovation and advancement paving the way for new design approaches and new challenges. From old to new, small to complex, KOMA remains rooted in the world’s largest industry.
The SPRUCE Project
April 2015, Northern Minn. – Located 40 miles north of Grand Rapids is the SPRUCE experiment. This project aims to observe varying temperature increases and their effects on Spruce trees and other elements within a bog’s habitat. The Oak Ridge National Laboratory compiled a team, including the structural engineers at Krech, O’Brien, Mueller and Associates, Inc. (KOMA) to bring the experiment to life.
A Look Back with Gopher
March 2015, Eagan Minn. – Founded in 1946, Gopher Resource is an environmental solutions provider located out of Eagan, MN. Over the years, the company has grown to become one of the largest and most influential lead-based battery recyclers in North America. The relationship between Gopher Resource and Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc (KOMA) began back in 1988 when KOMA was hired by the recycling company to design a structural lintel over a door at their Eagan facility. Since then KOMA has worked with the company on numerous projects from structural columns to complete architectural, structural, and interior additions and remodeling. New to the MCA Board
February 2015 – Inver Grove Heights, Minn. –Principal structural engineer Michael Lisowski of Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc. (KOMA) joined the Minnesota Construction Association (MCA) board for the 2015 year. In 2012, KOMA joined the MCA and five of the company’s employees became members. “KOMA joined the MCA to build relationships in our industry and to keep our community informed about the quality work we have done and continue to do”, says Lisowski, “it has been a great experience for us as a company and taking our involvement a step further seemed like an obvious choice.”
