February 2015 – Inver Grove Heights, Minn. –Principal structural engineer Michael Lisowski of Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc. (KOMA) joined the Minnesota Construction Association (MCA) board for the 2015 year. In 2012, KOMA joined the MCA and five of the company’s employees became members. “KOMA joined the MCA to build relationships in our industry and to keep our community informed about the quality work we have done and continue to do”, says Lisowski, “it has been a great experience for us as a company and taking our involvement a step further seemed like an obvious choice.”
The MCA is a non-profit organization located in Minneapolis. The association provides networking, business development opportunities and educational opportunities for individuals and companies involved in the construction industry. The more than 100 members includes but is not limited to general contractors, owners, project managers, engineers, architects, attorneys, and suppliers.
The MCA board has a variety of responsibilities including overseeing the individual committees and assisting in providing feedback on recent events such as the MCA Gala which provides awards to local construction projects. “I’m looking forward to digging a little deeper into the community and helping to expand the knowledge of the construction and design industry while furthering relationships with current MCA members, says Lisowski.”
