What do you enjoy most about KOMA?

One thing that I really enjoy and appreciate about working at KOMA is that there is an implicit or even explicit understanding that our work, while important, is not the center of our lives.  We work very hard, excellently, and professionally, but also make sure that work finds its proper priority amongst others.  I think that’s really healthy

Why architecture?

I’ve always loved to draw what I see built and love to see what I draw be built.  If I wasn’t doing this, I think I would have taken up furniture making like my dad did.

Favorite vacation spot?

Our family enjoys hiking and camping and canoeing and we make it a priority to do that yearly.  Someday, I’d love to be able to travel the British Isles as well as work with my family on a Habitat for Humanity project internationally.

The best advice I’ve received?

Hard to say, perhaps: being consistent will breed dependability.  How’s that for exciting?
