Marcus Construction was the design-build general contractor for this bulk dry fertilizer storage building and site. The 40,000-ton fertilizer warehouse has high-capacity blending with seven large storage bins for bulk products and three micro bins. The facility receives product from an 800 TPH barge unloading system as well as a 400 TPH rail unloading system. The dry storage building features an enclosed two-lane truck loadout and rail cars can be loaded utilizing an overhead conveyor. The new barge receiving system feeds both the new facility and Alter’s existing facility on the site.
