Krech, O’Brien, Mueller & Associates, Inc. (KOMA) was the architect, structural engineer, and interior designer on the recently completed addition and renovations to three South Washington County School District 833 elementary schools: Grey Cloud Elementary in Cottage Grove and Middleton and Bailey Elementary schools in Woodbury. The projects consist of two phases; the second phase will be completed by the fall of 2016.
The existing schools each consist of approximately 110,000 square feet, much of which will be renovated over the course of the two year period. Main features of the renovation include new energy efficient systems, a security entrance, and a new administration office addition at the front entry.
Martin Pevzner Engineers were the mechanical engineers, Paul Suby Associates was the electrical engineer, and Kraus Anderson was the Construction Manager. These were the twelfth, thirteenth, and fourteenth school that this team has worked on to improve HVAC, security, and aesthetics with District 833 over the past ten years.
